High-Pressure Lamination: Strength in Every Layer
Once the raw materials are prepared, they undergo high-pressure lamination, a process that transforms them into a solid, durable panel:
- Impregnation with Thermosetting Resins – The kraft paper and decorative layers are impregnated with advanced thermosetting resins, which enhance fire resistance, water resistance, and structural integrity.
- These resins ensure that the final product is chemically bonded, making it non-porous, stable, and highly durable.
Compression Under High Temperature & Pressure
The impregnated layers are stacked together and subjected to high-pressure (≤1000 psi) and high-temperature (≥150 °C) treatment in hydraulic presses.
- This process fuses the layers into a single, compact panel, eliminating air pockets and ensuring dimensional stability.
- The high-pressure treatment gives Samrat’s HPL a dense, non-porous surface, making it resistant to external elements like moisture, impact, and UV radiation.
Surface Hardening & Protective Coating
